For each crane-replacement project, the engineers prepare method statements, including calculations of impacts on the existing structure, structural analysis of the relevant topside parts, and design and calculations of the substructures for supporting temporary mobile cranes. Technical drawings and lifting procedures, and all relevant documents relevant for third party approval are included.
Conbit’s lifting solutions are cost-effective in executing crane replacement projects, when no platform crane can be used. A temporary mobile crane is placed and used on the platform until the new crane is installed. The lifting structures are thoroughly tested before installation and before use, to ensure safe operations.
In addition to engineering and equipment, Conbit provides all necessary services associated with offshore crane replacement. Our technicians do all the required preparations on deck, including welding, cutting, bevelling and surface cleaning using the appropriate tools and special equipment.
